What is counselling?
It can be a chance to talk about how you feel and think and be listened to in a non judgmental way. It is not about giving you advice or telling you what to do but a gentle exploration of some of the problems you might be struggling with.

I imagine if you are reading this, part of you may feel overwhelmed with the difficulties you face in your life at the moment, part of you may even feel hopeless. Sometimes making changes, however small, can feel challenging and difficult. I believe that to really understand ourselves it can help to talk about our experiences, feelings and our relationships with others.

I feel I can offer a safe and secure space where you explore how you feel and think and some of the blocks that are keeping you stuck. Counselling can give you an opportunity to look at how you can make changes and restore some of the hope that you may feel you have lost.

Choosing the right therapist can feel daunting and it is important that you feel you can trust the person you are working with and build a relationship. For this reason, I feel it is important to talk on the phone first so that you can gain a sense of me as a counsellor.
